A 40‑year‑old resident of Colombo 10 has been arrested with over 05 kilos of heroin during a raid carried out by officers of the Colombo Central Division Criminal Investigation Unit.
The raid, conducted on Ferguson Road in the Mattakkuliya Police Division yesterday (01), was based on information received by investigators.
Officers seized 5.140 kilos of heroin, Rs. 50,000 suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking, and two mobile phones used in the trade.
The suspect was taken into custody and presented to the Mattakkuliya Police Station. Further investigations are being carried out by the Mattakkuliya Police. (Newswire)
