Public services at the Department of Registration of Persons, which had been temporarily suspended earlier today (24) due to an unexpected breakdown in its computer system, have resumed.
The department announced that all services, including the one‑day National Identity Card issuance, restarted at 11:00 am.
The suspension had caused delays for citizens seeking urgent documentation, but officials confirmed that operations are now back to normal.
Early this morning, the department reported that services were suspended after a sudden computer system failure.
It also informed that all public services, including the one-day service, will be suspended at the head office and all regional offices, as a result. (Newswire)
