Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s former private secretary, Sugeeshwara Bandara, has been further remanded until September 09.
The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today (25) rejected Sugeeshwara Bandara’s bail plea, further remanding him.
Sugeeshwara Bandara was arrested by the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) on June 18 in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities involving government salaries.
He is accused of having received salaries from two separate government institutions simultaneously. (Newswire)
