
The deadline for applications for 383 vacancies in the Police Support Service has been extended to Sept. 14, the Sri Lanka Police said.
The extension was announced through Government Gazette No. 2502 dated Aug. 14, following the original recruitment notice published in Gazette No. 2497 dated July 10, which set Aug. 14 as the closing date.
The vacancies include 177 posts for Police Sub-Inspectors and 206 posts for Police Constables.
The Police Sub-Inspector vacancies include positions in areas such as website editing and development, systems analysis, software and hardware, networking, programming, data administration, graphic design, quantity surveying, mechanics, catering and planning.
The Police Constable vacancies cover a wide range of technical and support roles, including pharmacy, nursing, electrical work, medical laboratory services, refrigeration and air conditioning, vehicle operation, computer-related work, mechanics, welding, antenna installation, swimming instruction, stage lighting, sound administration, makeup and fitness instruction.
The Police said applications must be submitted online and urged eligible applicants to make use of the extended deadline. (Newswire)
