Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage has urged candidates to pay special attention to the timetable for the 2025 (2026) GCE Ordinary Level examination.
Speaking at a media briefing ahead of the exam, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow (17), she emphasised that candidates should refer only to the timetable published on the official website of the Department of Examinations and its official Facebook page.
She further noted that, compared to last year, the schedule for the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth papers has been changed, making it essential for candidates to use the correct timetable.
Tomorrow’s examinations will begin at 8:30 a.m., and candidates must report to their exam centres an hour in advance. Afternoon exams are scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m., with candidates required to arrive at their centres by 12:30 p.m., the commissioner added. (NewsWire)
