Sri Lanka Customs has reached its 2026 revenue target of Rs. 2,207 billion ahead of schedule, collecting a total of Rs. 2,208 billion as of October 13.
The milestone marks a faster collection pace compared to the previous year. In 2025, Customs met its target of Rs. 2,115 billion on November 11. Following that initial achievement, the 2025 target was revised upward to Rs. 2,231 billion, and actual collections ultimately reached Rs. 2,557.5 billion by the end of the year.
In a parallel move to enhance operational efficiency, Sri Lanka Customs introduced digital signatures for customs declarations starting October 1. (Newswire)
