Sri Lanka has expressed deep concern over the recent attack on civilian infrastructure at Kuwait International Airport, which resulted in injuries to three Sri Lankan nationals.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism said the safety, well-being and security of more than one million Sri Lankan citizens living and working in the region remain a top priority for the Government.
The Ministry said Sri Lanka was closely monitoring developments and remained concerned about the impact of the incident on civilians.
Calling on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at maintaining regional peace, security and the protection of civilians. (Newswire)
