A Sri Lankan national who was temporarily residing in the Kingdom of Eswatini under an arrangement with the United Kingdom has died, the Eswatini Government announced.
In a statement issued on September 28, the government identified the deceased as Kishanth Peramaiya, a Sri Lankan national who had been temporarily resident in Eswatini pursuant to an arrangement with the UK Government.
According to the statement, at the time of his death, the governments of Eswatini and the United Kingdom were holding consultations regarding arrangements for his possible long-term residence in the country.
The Eswatini Government said it is working closely with the British High Commission in Eswatini and engaging with Peramaiya’s family to facilitate the necessary arrangements for his burial. (Newswire)
