Plans are underway to introduce the Metro Urban Luxury Transport bus service in Kandy in 2027, Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunasena announced.
Preliminary planning activities commenced on Oct. 15, with a Metro bus conducting a test run to assess potential routes and operational requirements.
According to the deputy minister, the exercise focused on identifying suitable routes, determining the required bus specifications and assessing potential bus stop locations.
The initiative is part of preparations to introduce the Metro bus service in Kandy next year. (Newswire)
