The United States and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aimed at ending the ongoing conflict between the two countries and restoring maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, according to multiple international media reports.
The agreement, reportedly signed electronically ahead of a planned in-person meeting in Switzerland, includes an immediate halt to hostilities and measures to reopen one of the world’s most important shipping routes.
