Water supply to several areas will be restricted from 8.00 pm today (06) to 8.00 am tomorrow (07) due to declining water levels caused by the prevailing dry weather.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said production at the Labugama and Kalatuwawa water treatment plants has been limited as feeder reservoir levels continue to drop.
Accordingly, water supply to Palanwatta and surrounding areas will be restricted during the 12-hour period.
The affected areas include Mattegoda, Deepangoda, Brahmanagama, Polgasowita Road, Kirigampamunuwa and Kudamaduwa.
Authorities requested the public to use water sparingly during this period. (Newswire)
