Personnel from the Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron comprising the naval ships INS TIR, INS SUJATA and the Indian Coast Guard Ship ICGS SARATHI joined forces with the Sri Lanka Navy to conduct a joint beach cleanup program along the Galle Face coastal area in Colombo today (October 27).
The collaborative initiative, which involved ship crews, trainee officers, and personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy’s Western Naval Command, successfully cleared a large volume of solid waste, including plastic and polythene debris scattered across the Galle Face stretch, ensuring its eco-friendly disposal.
