The farewell ceremony for the outgoing batch of Horizon College International was celebrated with grandeur on the 11th of July 2026,at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. Bringing together students, teachers, and distinguished guests for an evening filled with pride, gratitude, and celebration. Organized by the Prefect Guild of HCI, and the school community, the memorable occasion celebrated the achievements, experiences, and aspirations of the Year 13 outgoing batch. It marked a significant milestone in their journey, honoring their growth as Horizonites and inspiring them to embrace the future as confident ambassadors of the values and vision of Horizon. The occasion featured a warm welcome speech by the head prefects extended to the chief guests, Founder & Chairman Mr. Upul Daranagama, Directress Mrs. Priya Daranagama, Principal Mrs. Maryanne Hills, and other distinguished guests, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the oil lamp.
The Chairman Mr. Upul Daranagama, Principal Mrs. Maryanne Hills, and Event Coordinator Mrs. LindaSenarath and the Horizon Campus representative shared words of encouragement and extended their warmest wishes to the outgoing students as they pursue their future aspirations.
The celebration featured a range of engaging activities, including the Horizon King & Queen segment, a special video presentation by the Year 13 batch, and a vibrant dance performance. An interactive question and answer session further added to the evening’s excitement, followed by a fellowship dinner and DJ session.
Adding further significance to the occasion, Horizon Campus conducted a special scholarship raffle draw for the outgoing batch, with three lucky students receiving scholarships to support their future higher education journey with La Trobe University.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, bringing a remarkable celebration of achievements, memories, and aspirations to a proud and memorable close by the Year 13. As our Horizonites embark on their next chapter, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for a future filled with success and purpose. Carrying the Horizon spirit of excellence, leadership, innovation, and compassion, they stand ready to embrace new challenges, inspire change, and make a meaningful impact on the world.
