Former local government member Sampath Manamperi surrendered to the Walasmulla Magistrate’s Court today.
He was wanted in connection with the possession of chemicals used in the production of Crystal Meth (ICE), following a discovery made in Middeniya recently.
Earlier, the Court of Appeal instructed the IGP to ensure Manamperi’s security upon his surrender and directed that investigating officers be informed of the development.
