Former Executive Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa, who was arrested today for evading court proceedings, has been remanded.
Halloluwa was remanded until 28th August after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today.
He was arrested by the Police after a warrant was issued yesterday (18) by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, instructing his arrest.
Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasekara issued the warrant after reviewing the facts presented by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
The Colombo Crimes Division launched an investigation into a shooting incident involving Halloluwa’s vehicle in the Narahenpita area.
Following a request made by the police regarding this investigation, the Magistrate proceeded to issue the arrest warrant. (Newswire)
