Tempers flared between India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sri Lanka fast bowler Asitha Fernando following Jaiswal’s dismissal during the second Test between Sri Lanka and India at the SSC in Colombo.
Asitha dismissed Jaiswal for 45 before giving the Indian batter a fiery send-off as he began walking back to the pavilion.
Jaiswal responded to the Sri Lankan pacer, resulting in a heated face-off between the two players before the situation settled.
The incident added further intensity to the contest as Sri Lanka looked to make inroads into the Indian batting lineup.
