The makers of an upcoming Tamil film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar on Saturday released a promotional video featuring superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, marking their first on-screen collaboration in nearly five decades.
The project, tentatively titled #KHXRK, has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The promo, which was shared on social media platforms, drew widespread attention from fans and industry observers, given the rarity of both actors appearing together in a single film.
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, two of Tamil cinema’s most influential figures, last appeared together in films in the late 1970s, including Apoorva Raagangal (1975). The new project is expected to bring them back together on screen after almost 47 years.
