The Department of Wildlife Conservation says tourist bungalows and campsites in Zones I and II of Yala National Park that have already been reserved by the public will also be closed during the period in which the two zones remain shut.
The DWC said tourist bungalows and campsites reserved by visitors during the closure period will also remain closed.
Tourists who have already made reservations for the affected period will be offered alternative dates, according to the DWC.
The temporary closure has been imposed due to the prevailing drought affecting the area where Yala National Park is located. (Newswire)
