A brothel operating under the cover of a homeopathic treatment centre in the Ambatale area within the Mulleriyawa Police Division was raided by officers of the Western Province (South) Crime Division.
Police said three individuals and a homeopathic practitioner, believed to be the proprietor of the facility, were taken into custody during the operation. The suspects are due to be produced before court.
Preliminary investigations found that the premises had allegedly been used to offer sexual services while posing as a medical clinic, with clients charged Rs. 7,000 per hour. (Newswire)
