Sri Lanka Railways website hit by cyberattack

The official website of Sri Lanka Railways came under a cyberattack today (14), railway authorities said.

According to officials, the attack has affected only the railway timetable system available on the website.

As a precautionary measure, authorities have temporarily disabled the affected section of the website while efforts are underway to rectify the damage and restore normal operations.

Railway authorities said the remainder of the website remains unaffected and that technical teams are working to bring the timetable system back online as soon as possible.
