
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the award of contracts for the printing, supply and delivery of computer-based lottery tickets of the National Lottery Board (NLB) for a period of one year.
The NLB had invited bids under the National Competitive Bidding procedure for seven lottery brands — Govisetha, NLB Handahana, Mega Power, Dhana Nidhana, NLB Jaya, Ada Sampatha and Suba Direka.
Five bids were received for the contracts.
Based on the recommendations of the High Level Procurement Committee and the Procurement Appeal Board, Cabinet approval was granted to award the contracts to the lowest bidders.
The Government Printing Corporation will undertake the printing, supply and delivery of Govisetha lottery tickets at a value of Rs. 103.42 million, NLB Handahana at Rs. 91.30 million, Mega Power at Rs. 88.22 million and Dhana Nidhana at Rs. 73.16 million, excluding VAT.
Ceylon Business Appliances (Private) Ltd. will undertake NLB Jaya at Rs. 83.36 million, Ada Sampatha at Rs. 67.80 million and Suba Direka at Rs. 72.86 million, excluding VAT.
The proposal was submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. (Newswire)
