Covid patients identified in three buses seized for violating inter-province travel ban

Three luxury buses that had travelled to Batticaloa from Colombo have been seized for breaching the inter-province travel ban currently in effect in Sri Lanka.

Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the drivers and the conductors of the luxury buses have been arrested. 

He further said three passengers have tested positive for COVID-19 after all passengers were subjected to Rapid Antigen Tests. 

The infected passengers have been admitted to the Karadiyanaru Hospital in Batticaloa, while the suspects are to be produced in court today. (NewsWire)
