A 24-year-old youth had died after drowning in the swimming pool at a Hotel in Mount Lavinia on Saturday (12), the police said.
The incident has taken place in the afternoon where the victim had gone for a swim in the pool.
He was pronounced dead after admitting to the Kalubowila hospital.
The police further said that the victim is a resident of Moratuwa and the body is currently placed at the mortuary of Kalubowila hospital.
