An underage child has been used to steal jewelry from a store in Kurunegala.
CCTV footage from the store shows a woman arriving with an underage child in the guise of purchasing jewelry.
While the store keeper is busy attending to the queries of the woman, the child is seen robbing a piece of jewelry from the display boxes from the side of the counter.
The woman and child are later seen walking away causally without purchasing any goods.
It has been reported that the child had stolen a gold pendent worth Rs. 150,000.
The Police have commenced investigations to apprehend the two suspects. (NewsWire)
