Six suspects, including three women have been arrested over the murder of a 12-year-old child in the Periyakallaru area in Kalavanchikudi.
Police Spokesman, DIG Ajith Rohana said the child had died after being admitted to hospital on 10th January.
He said the suspects, including the sister of the child’s mother, had assaulted the child on multiple occasions.
The post mortem report has revealed that an infection caused due to the internal and external injuries as a result of the beatings had led to the child’s death.
