300,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine arriving in July

The Government expects to import five million doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine this year.

State Minister Channa Jayasumana said the first consignment will arrive in Sri Lanka in July.

He added that the first batch will consist of 300,000 doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.

Meanwhile, 76, 346 people received the coronavirus vaccine during the course of yesterday.

The Health Ministry said 1,272 people received the second dose of the AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine.

57,706 people were administered the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine, while 44,189 people received the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine. (NewsWire)
