Several individuals who were travelling in bullock carts to Galle have been arrested by Police according to Lankadeepa Online.
Police had arrested the individuals for violating qurantine regulations.
Samagi Jana Balavegaya activist Kanishka Lanerolle was among those who were arrested.
He said that the bullock cart ride was a silent protest against the rising fuel prices.
Police said that suspects were released under Police bail. (NewsWire)
