Two former SLFP MPs and a JVP member join the SJB

During the Polonnaruwa District meeting of the “Jana Pavura” program conducted by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), several regional organizers from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) met with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and joined the SJB.

Former Member of Parliament and former Minister Nandasena Herath joined the SJB to express his support for Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. He served as a member of the North Central Provincial Council in 1993, and was elected to Parliament from the Polonnaruwa District in 1994. He also served as Deputy Minister of Trade in 2001.

Similarly, Tilak Mahalekamge, a former Member of Parliament from the SLFP and a former Director of the Mahaweli Development Authority, joined the SJB. After serving as a member of the North Central Provincial Council in 1993, he was elected to Parliament in 1994 and served as a Member of Parliament for the Minneriya constituency for seven years.

Additionally, H. Samantha Bandara, the only former councilor elected from the Bindunuwewa division of the Polonnaruwa Municipal Council from the JVP, joined the SJB to express his support for Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa. (NewsWire)
