A 52-year-old man died after being shot in the Kataragama area last evening.
The Police said the man had died after being admitted to the Debarawewa Hospital with serious injuries after being shot by an individual.
The suspect has been identified, while witnesses have revealed that he had fled the area, escaping through the Yala National Park.
The Kataragama Police has launched an investigation to apprehend the suspect.
The Police suspect the shooting may have occurred due to a long-standing personal dispute between the two parties.
