The Sri Lanka Rupee has stabilized against the US Dollar, as per the daily currency exchange rates issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) for today.

The CBSL said the selling rate of the US Dollar was Rs. 202.89 and the buying rate stood at Rs. 198.21.

Despite the Rupee having fluctuated against the US Dollar earlier this year, it has now stabilized with no changes in the last few days, the bank said.

However, although the official rate remains stable, the unofficial rate has increased from Rs. 215 to Rs. 235.

According to reports, the spike has occurred due to the unavailability of US Dollars in the country. (NewsWire)
