Veteran actress Hyacinth Wijeratne (75) has passed away, following a road accident at Lindula, Thalawakele, last night.
The police stated that the van she was travelling in had fallen down a precipice at Lindula in Thalawakele.
She was reportedly returning to Colombo after concluding a teledrama shoot.
Driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
