The President’s Office has issued a statement clarifying the reason to impose an islandwide lockdown in Sri Lanka from today (20).
The President’s Media Division (PMD) said a key reason to impose a lockdown was to administer at least a single dose of the Covid vaccine to those above the age of 60, who are yet to get vaccinated.
The PMD added that the Government expects to administer at least a single dose of the Covid vaccine to those above the age of 60 before the 1st of September. (NewsWire)
