Under the slogan “Let’s read every day”; The National Book Festival started in Sukhbaatar Square in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, where readers are waiting for this day to get the books they want at a low price, as the prices of books have decreased during the “Nadam” by 20-50 percent. The festival is expected to witness a large attendance due to the availability of rare books, works by new authors, and e-books.

Interview with (Н. Khulan – is a representative of NEPKO publishing house):

“Readers are increasingly interested in online shopping related to the pandemic. As a result, new books tend to have less information. The advantage of this book festival is that you can get all the information you are interested in from one place. Compared to the previous year, the number of customers has increased dramatically. NEPKO publishes more than 200 books. We will also be introducing new books during the book festival as gifts to our readers.

Interview with (P. Nyamgerel – Customer service manager of the “E-san” organization):

“E-san.mn National Online Library is participating in the book festival for the third time. Compared to last year, this time we plan to participate more extensively. The main feature of e-san is that it contains all the knowledge and information, and it is easy for Mongolians to get the information they want in their language. More than 30,000 books and other works are distributed to the public through e-san.mn and e-san applications. Not only books, but also newspapers, magazines, research, and statistics can be read from us.”

Interview with (T.Amardavaa – Writer):

“Every spring and fall, the NGO World of Book Culture celebrates the Book Festival at Janjin Sukhbaatar Square and organizes a public exhibition. We are participating in the festival for the third year. I think it serves as a “bridge” between writers and translators and readers. During the festival, all translators and authors sell their books at a 20-50 percent discount. So it allows you to get the book you are looking for cheaply”
