The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for heavy rains for the next 24-hours ending at 12 pm tomorrow (02).
The Department said showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the country during this period.
Very heavy showers above 150 mm can be expected in some places in the Northern, North-Central, North-western, and Eastern Provinces.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected in some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in the Galle and Matara Districts.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected in other areas as well. (NewsWire)
