Two arrested with fake currency note with a value of 1 million Euros

Two suspects have been arrested along with a fake currency note with a value of 1 million euros. 

The suspects were arrested at the Mahawela Lane junction near the Dematagoda flyover.

They were arrested during a raid conducted by the Police Special Task Force intelligence officers based on a tip-off received from the Air Force Intelligence Unit.  

The arrested individuals are a 50-year-old woman from Wellampitiya and a 45-year-old man from Kotugoda. 

They have been charged for the possession of a fake currency note valued at 1 million Euros and for attempting to defraud the public with a fake currency note. (NewsWire)
