Police release details on runaway case of three girls

The Police today released more information on the three teen girls from Colombo -12 who went missing from Monday and returned home last night.

According to the Police, the three girls have left home in order to achieve their dream of becoming dancing stars.

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that the girls had reportedly attempted to join a dancing group in Wattala.

They have also reportedly visited the Samagi Jana Balawegaya office in Pitakotte, hoping to meet Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa but  they were turned down as the opposition leader was not in office.

The three girls have travelled to several areas in buses before returning home last night.

The Police have referred the three teens to a Judicial Medical Officer to conduct a mental and physical evaluation. (NewsWire)
