Another suspect has been arrested in connection to the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the suspect is a 25-year-old man and was arrested in the Hingula area yesterday.
The arrest was made by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) over ongoing investigations into the terror attacks.
The suspect is found to have participated in training and lectures conducted by the ringleader of the attacks Zaharan Hashim in the Sittikulam area in Hambantota.
Investigations had also found that he had maintained links with and aided the suspects involved in the Easter attacks.
SSP Thalduwa said the suspect will be detained and questioned, while the TID will conduct further investigations into the arrest. (NewsWire)
