Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa left for Dubai today on a private visit.
Minister Rajapaksa is reported to have left the country along with his wife on an Emirates Airline flight at 02.55 am from the Katunayake airport.
On Monday, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa also left the country for Singapore on a private visit.
President’s spokesman Kingsly Rathnayake had confirmed the departure but stated that details on the President’s schedule cannot be revealed due to personal reasons.
With the President’s departure, the Cabinet meeting was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday evening (13).
The Cabinet meeting was attended by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa, during which the existing dollar and foreign exchange crises had been discussed. (NewsWire)
