The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory to the deep and shallow areas of the South and South-East of Sri Lanka.
The weather advisory is in effect for the next 24-hours starting from 10.30 am today.
As per the weather advisory, the low-level atmospheric disturbance to the South of Sri Lanka may intensify into a low-pressure area in the next 24-hours.
The Navy, fishing community, and those visiting the region have been requested to remain vigilant of rough seas. (NewsWire)
