A lorry carrying LP Gas cylinders has been robbed in Colombo -07 by a group that had arrived in a three-wheeler.
According to News First, the group had waylaid the lorry in broad daylight and had taken off with three cylinders after paying for two empty cylinders.
The Police reported that the group had accosted the lorry and had forced it to stop, after which they had paid Rs. 2000 for two empty cylinders but had taken off with several full gas cylinders.
The incident that had occurred on Wednesday (29) comes from the backdrop of Sri Lanka facing an LP gas shortage.
The Colpetty Police is conducting further investigations into the robbery. (NewsWire)
