An individual has died in an elevator accident reported at a tyre manufacturing factory in the Paragastota area in Millaniya.
The man is said to have died after his head had gotten stuck in the elevator that was used to transport material to the manufacturing machines.
The Millaniya Police said the victim is a 30-year-old resident of Moranthuduwa.
The accident had occurred when the youth had been working on the manufacturing machine along with 09 other colleagues.
The youth who had sustained serious injuries to the head is said to have died prior to being admitted to the Horana Base Hospital.
The Milleniya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
