The Ministry of Trade has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Myanmar to purchase rice.
Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena said 100,000 MT of rice will be imported from Myanmar under the agreement.
He further said that the stock of rice will be purchased with immediate effect as a buffer stock. (NewsWire)
