The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) today condemned the egg attack that was carried out on party leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s vehicle in the Gampaha district.
The attack had taken place during the National Peoples Power’s (NPP) Gampaha District Convention which was held yesterday (30).
Addressing a special media briefing today, JVP MP Vijitha Herath said MP Dissanayake’s vehicle had not been attacked as reported.
He further revealed that several other vehicles that had been parked outside the event hall had been subjected to the egg attack.
Meanwhile, video footage has been shared on the said attack. The incident had been captured on a nearby CCTV camera. (NewsWire)
