The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory on the deep depression over the South-West Bay of Bengal.
Issuing a statement, the Department said the deep depression is currently located about 330 km Northeast of the Trincomalee coast.
The Met Department said it is likely to move Northwestwards in the evening and will move towards Tamil Nadu, India in the next 36-hours.
A severe weather advisory has also been issued to the deep and shallow sea areas of the Northern and Northeastern coasts of Sri Lanka as a result of the deep depression. (NewsWire)
