Exchange rate hike: Airline ticket prices increased by 27%

The prices of all airline tickets issued in Sri Lanka have been increased by 27%, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) announced today.

The CAASL said that the price increase will be implemented with effect from today (11). 

The prices of all airline tickets issued in Sri Lanka have been increased in line with the hike in exchange rates, the Civil Aviation Authority said.

The rate of exchange for one US dollar has been increased to Rs. 259.99 from the previously traded amount of Rs. 203.66. (NewsWire)
