Govt-Alliance parties call on President to dissolve Cabinet

The 11 constituent parties of the government have called on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to dissolve the current Cabinet.

According to reports, the parties have requested the President to instead, form a caretaker government.

They have insisted that the caretaker government consist of all parties represented in the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

The 11 constituent parties of the government have been vocal against the conduct of the government.

MPs Udaya Gammanpila and Wimal Weerawansa who are part of the 11 constituent parties were recently sacked from their ministerial portfolios.

They were removed from their designations due to being vocal against the decisions of the Government.

The public too have lost faith in the incumbent government, as they took to the streets to protest against the President in Mirihana last night. (NewsWire)
