The Government has rejected the new price hike announced by Litro Gas Lanka for a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder.
The primary gas dealer had announced that the price of a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder will be increased to Rs. 5175 with effect from today.
Soon after the announcement, the Government had rejected the price hike, stating that it has not been approved by the state administration.
The Government further said that the price will be revised and the 12.5 kg Litro Gas domestic cylinder will be sold for its previous price.
Prior to the price hike, a 12.5kg Litro Gas domestic gas cylinder was priced at Rs. 2675. (NewsWire)
