Gazette on full vaccination to enter public places revoked

The Government has revoked the Gazette notification that was issued making it mandatory for people to be fully vaccinated in order to enter public places in Sri Lanka. 

The decision which was announced by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella was set to come into effect after the 30th of April 2022. 

As per the Gazette notification, people were required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus in order to enter public places.

However, new Health Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana has revoked the earlier Gazette notification.

Thereby, the public will not be required to be fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus in order to enter public places.
