A group of individuals who were engaged in a peaceful protest near the Parliamentary entry road has been arrested by the Police.
A peaceful demonstration against the government was staged near the Parliamentary entry road at the Polduwa Junction today.
12 of the protesters have been arrested by the Police for staging a protest blocking the Parliamentary entry road.
Video footage shows the arrested protesters being transported in a bus under the security of Police officers.
A tense situation is also seen in the bus between the Police officers and the protesters, as the officers attempt to prohibit the protesters from filming their arrest and the officers accompanying them. (NewsWire)
