The GCE Advanced Level Examination 2022 has been proposed to be held in October and November this year.
Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said the date of the examination will be decided after reviewing the information obtained from the Examinations Department.
He made the announcement at a media briefing held at the Government Information Department yesterday (2).
“The Additional Secretary to the Education Ministry will gather information from all provinces to ascertain how far syllabuses have been covered. Data will also be analyzed at the provincial, district, and zonal levels, paying special attention to the extent to which the relevant syllabi are covered,” the Minister said.
Stating that this year schools are likely to be held till December 22 or 23 before the start of next year, the Minister said measures will be taken to conduct schools on many days as possible as there is a limited number of days remaining to cover the necessary syllabuses.
Minister Susil Premajayantha further added that the dates for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2022 will also be decided in due course. (NewsWire)
